The Spark.
For years, my life revolved around the demanding world of live event broadcasting and streaming. I thrived on the technical complexity and the adrenaline of delivering flawless streams for major events, but the lifestyle eventually took its toll. The long hours and relentless pressure meant work-life balance was non-existent, and I found myself burnt out, knowing I needed a fundamental change.
I wanted to pivot into the IT sector, a natural home for my technical aptitude and logical mindset, but my problem wasn't being treated like a novice. It was that I didn't even know what jobs were applicable for my skill set. My main blocker was that employers and HR filters didn't understand my transferable skills and saw me as an outlier.
We chose the name Leap because changing careers is always a jump into the unknown. It requires the self-belief to jump even when the landing is not visible because you know that something has to change. Opal is there to support that jump, lighting the way to your future potential so you aren't leaping into the dark alone.
